About Dr. Pagirsky
Dr. Matthew Pagirsky is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist and Director of Neuropsychology and Training at Growing Minds Psychology. He specializes in neuropsychological assessments and educational advocacy for children and young adults.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Pagirsky has served as an adjunct professor in learning disabilities and cognitive assessment and has published peer-reviewed articles on ADHD and learning disabilities. He is committed to community education and frequently presents at professional conferences and workshops.
Dr. Pagirsky has been a New York City Department of Education (DOE) registered independent evaluator since 2017. He has participated in hundreds of IEP meetings and has provided direct testimony in numerous impartial hearings. He is highly familiar with the full range of programs that the Committee on Special Education (CSE) can provide to students with disabilities, as well as non-public schools that are available to students in New York City.
Dr. Pagirsky holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in School Psychology from St. John’s University. He completed an APA-accredited internship at NYU Langone Medical Center's Rusk Institute and his postdoctoral fellowships in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Lenox Hill Hospital's Center for Attention and Learning and the Child Mind Institute, where he stayed as a staff neuropsychologist following the completion of his fellowship.
